Mattress 101

A mattress is built in layers. Knowing what each one does makes it easier to choose. Here is how Serta mattresses are put together, in plain words.

Feel

Choosing a feel

Serta describes each mattress on a five-step scale from Soft to Firm. Comfort is personal, so use the scale to make a shortlist, then lie on them at a Serta Gallery.

Will it fit my room?

Type your room size and we will show the space left around each bed, with the headboard against a wall.

Measure wall to wall. The walkway is up to you: 60 cm lets one person pass comfortably; leave more for a wardrobe door or a bedside table.

Single: the price list gives no size, so ask a Serta Gallery.
