Who we are

This website is run by Aman Abadi Inovasi Sdn. Bhd. (Registration No. 1055743-W), the authorised distributor of Serta in Malaysia ("Serta Malaysia", "we", "us"). We are the data user responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

Personal data we collect

We only collect personal data when you choose to give it to us:

Contact form	Your name, email address, phone number (optional) and message.
Gallery visit request	Your name, phone number, email address (optional), the Serta Gallery, day and time of day you choose, the model you want to try (optional) and your message (optional).
Hotel enquiry	Your name, role (optional), email address, phone number, the property's name, type, location and number of rooms, the bed sizes and models you are interested in, your timeline and your message (optional).
Warranty registration	Your invoice and warranty numbers, the mattress model and size, the date and place of purchase, your name, address, phone number and email address. Date of birth, gender, marital status and the survey questions are optional.
Job applications	Your name, email address, phone number, the role and location you are interested in, your message and your CV.
Using the website	Information about how the website is used: pages visited, type of device and browser, and approximate location (city or country), collected with Google Analytics. This does not tell us who you are.

Some features work entirely on your own device and send nothing to us:

Find the nearest to me (Where to buy) asks your browser for your location and uses it only on your device to sort the list.
Compare remembers the mattresses you ticked in your browser's storage.
The mattress finder and All mattresses filters keep your answers in the page address, so you can share the link. They are not sent to us.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry.
To register your mattress warranty and handle warranty claims.
To consider your job application.
To understand how the website is used and improve it.
To meet our legal obligations.

The optional survey questions on the warranty form help us understand our customers. By sending us a form, you consent to us using your personal data for the purpose of that form.

What you must give us

Fields marked as required on our forms are needed to handle your request. If you do not provide them, we may not be able to reply to your enquiry, register your warranty or consider your application. Fields marked optional are entirely up to you.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with:

Service providers that run the website for us: Cloudflare (website hosting), Resend (delivers form messages to our inbox) and Google (website analytics). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
Serta Galleries and authorised dealers, where needed to handle your enquiry or warranty claim.
Authorities, where the law requires it.

Data stored outside Malaysia

Our service providers may process personal data on servers outside Malaysia. We only use providers that protect personal data to a standard comparable to the PDPA.

Cookies and browser storage

You can block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. The website still works without them. When you choose "Show map" on the Where to buy page, map images are loaded from OpenStreetMap, which receives your device's internet address like any website you visit.

Keeping your data safe

This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and form messages are delivered by email only to Serta Malaysia. We take reasonable steps to protect personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and change. No method of sending or storing data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it for, or as the law requires:

Warranty registrations: for the length of the warranty.
Enquiries and gallery visit requests: until your enquiry or visit is dealt with and no longer needed.
Job applications: until the role is filled, unless you ask us to keep your CV for future roles.

After that, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you can:

Ask to see the personal data we hold about you.
Ask us to correct personal data that is wrong, incomplete or out of date.
Withdraw your consent, or ask us to limit how we use your data.

If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to handle your warranty claim or enquiry. We will reply to your request within 21 days. Please help us keep your details accurate by telling us when they change.

Marketing

We do not use the details you send us for marketing unless you ask us to. If you do agree to hear from us, you can ask us to stop at any time.

Children

This website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us any personal data.

Other websites

Our website links to other services, such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Google Maps. When you leave our website, the other service's own privacy policy applies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
